The Italian Association of Chemical Engineering is welcoming you to the 5th International Conference on Engineering Future Food, which will be held in Bologna, 14-17 September, 2025. This event is as an opportunity to exchange up-to-the minute information on industrial needs, new technology developments and research opportunities. The previous events attracted leading Industrialists and Academics from all over the world and provided a state of the art on engineering future food.
To tackle the challenges of climate change, environmental degradation, biodiversity loss, malnutrition, and noncommunicable diseases, the Food Engineering working group of the Italian Association of Food Engineering (AIDIC-Food Engineering) is committed to contributing to the transformation of food systems. Leveraging its scientific expertise and operational influence, the group aims to drive impactful change. AIDIC-Food Engineering seeks to act as a catalyst for collaboration between industry, academia, and government institutions, addressing sustainability challenges in food and nutrition through innovative solutions and interdisciplinary efforts.
Conference Topics:
- Topic I - Sustainable Solutions for Digital Food manufacturing: Exploring how automation and digital technologies contribute to the sustainable and circular transition of the food manufacturing sector.
- Topic II - Design Thinking for Food Techno-Functionality: Using product engineering and food design methods to meet consumer needs—convenience, health, and well-being—while ensuring technical feasibility.
- Topic III - The Role of Packaging in the Food Supply Chain: Delving into the complexities and impacts of packaging in the evolving landscape of food production and distribution.
- Topic IV - Quality Data Analysis: Quantitative methods for monitoring and improving product quality, including the design and application of digital sensors and tools for managing food quality.
