It is with great pleasure to announce the 18th European PhD Workshop on Food Engineering and Technology that will take place on April 15-16, 2025 in Athens, Greece.

The first workshop took place in Germany in 2007 followed by events in France, Italy, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, Austria and Denmark. They were very successful events, of high quality and well received within the Food Engineering and Technology community. The 18th European Workshop is organized by the Section on Food of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE) in cooperation with DIL German Institute of Food Technologies and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) Vienna, and supported by an industry board consisting of Nestlé, Bühler, GNT, Elea and Alfa Laval.

This is a unique opportunity for highly qualified PhD students and recently graduated Postdocs to present and discuss their projects and to strengthen their network in academia and industry.
